Research Info Received: I received a letter from Anne
Hockstad, Eugene's Wife. She states that Eugene was in
the 6th Marine Division and served from 1942 to 1963.
He enlisted at the age of 17 in Rockford, Ill. She can
verify that Eugene signed the flag but Eugene is in a
veterans home and does not remember signing the flag. |
